File Wipe Pro Introduction

File Wipe
is an industrial strength file destruction utility. It
also removes Internet explorer history, cookies, temp
internet files. Cleans INDEX.DAT files on your computer
which also keep tracks of your IE activities. It removes
Adobe Acrobat reader history, Microsoft Paint recent
files list, start menu run history, Windows Media player
recent files list, WinRar history list, and the WinZip
history list.
File Wipe implements
two of the DOD standards,
DoD.5200.22-M(3) &
DoD.5200.28-STD (7) for the safe removal of files from
your hard drive.
DoD.5200.22-M (3)
The unused space or file or disk is wiped using
Department of Defense (US) standard 5220.22-M (3). This
provides a high-grade of data wiping filling the unused
space or file with a special digital pattern through 3
passes.
DoD.5200.28-STD (7)
The unused space or file or disk is wiped using
Department of Defense (US) standard 5200.28-STD (7).
Provides high-grade data wiping filling the unused space
or file with a special digital pattern through 7 passes.
