File Wipe Pro Instructions

Adding
files or folders to shred.
You can use the add file or the add folder buttons on
the program. You can also just drag a file or folder
from the desktop onto the 'Items to shred list'.

Context Menu
File wipe adds a context menu to windows explorer so all
you have to do is right mouse click over a file and
select 'Wipe File' from the pop up menu. The file wipe
program will open with the item that you want to shred
in the list.

File Wipe has four options for
deleting files.

(1) Fast One Pass
This method uses the same wiping algorithm as the
DoD.5200.22-M (3) method, except it only makes one pass.
(2) DoD.5200.22-M (3)
The unused space or file or disk is wiped using
Department of Defense (US) standard 5220.22-M (3). This
provides a high-grade of data wiping filling the unused
space or file with a special digital pattern through 3
passes.
(3) DoD.5200.28-STD (7)
The unused space or file or disk is wiped using
Department of Defense (US) standard 5200.28-STD (7).
Provides high-grade data wiping filling the unused space
or file with a special digital pattern through 7 passes.
(4) Custom
This method uses the same wiping algorithm as the
DoD.5200.22-M (3) method, but you can customize the
number of times that the file is wiped.
